Returns/Exchange Policy

Returns Policy 

Items for exchange/refund must be shipped unused within 14 days of receipt. Coastal Trader Co. return policy is only valid if products are returned unused and in the original condition that you received them, and in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt of purchase to be sent back with the goods. You must also email us regarding your exchange/refund request at info@coastaltraderco.com.au then we will provide an address for you to securely pack and ship your item to.

We will confirm receipt of goods when received. Postage costs are at the customers expense. We recommend using registered mail or other trackable shipping service as we cannot be held liable for any items lost/damaged in transit. Postage charges are not refundable, unless there is a major fault with the goods. 


We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund/exchange request. No 'refunds' will be given if you have simply changed your mind, but you can return the goods and apply for a 'credit note' within 14 days of receipt. If there is a minor fault with the goods we may choose to offer you an 'exchange' or 'credit note'.  If there is a major fault with the goods we can offer you a refund, exchange or credit note.  We are unable to refund/exchange/credit on towels/rugs/skincare ranges due to hygienic reasons. 

A sale purchase is final, Coastal Trader Co do not refund/exchange on sale items (this does not affect your statutory rights for faulty goods)


If you are approved, then your refund/exchange/credit note will be processed. Coastal Trader Co have the right to refuse an exchange/refund if the stated conditions are not met.

If granted, your refund will be processed by the same payment method used to purchase the items. 

If 10 working days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. (unless faulty)

We are unable to refund/exchange on towels/rugs/jewellery for hygienic reasons.

A sale purchase is final, unfortunately Coastal Trader Co do not refund/exchange on sale items. (unless the item is faulty)

Damaged/Faulty Items
If your goods arrive to you damaged please advise us within 3 working days of receipt by emailing a photograph of the damaged items to info@coastaltraderco.com.au

In the unlikely event that an item is faulty in manufacturing we will first endeavour to replace the item. If the item is unavailable we will provide a credit note. We will cover the cost of shipping/returns where the error is at our fault or there is a major fault with the goods. 

Coastal Trader Co is not responsible for loss of goods in transit. 

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
